Established in 1989, the Institute of Advanced Management (IAM) was founded with the mission to provide world-class education and training in Hospitality Management by continuously innovating and improving teaching methods through state-of-the-art training techniques, meaningful research, and strong connections with the hospitality industry.
The Institute was formed by a group of young academic entrepreneurs to provide need-based professional qualifications to aspiring students. The aim was to equip candidates with the required skills to secure gainful employment in the hospitality sector. From its early years, IAM HOTEL SCHOOL established itself as a pioneer in professional training and manpower development. Within two decades, it became widely recognized across the country as a leading provider of trained professionals for the hospitality industry.
The Institute’s graduates have consistently been sought after by leading brands in the hospitality sector, reinforcing IAM’s reputation for producing industry-ready professionals. In recognition of its contribution, the Institute received the “Institute of the Year” Award in 1995.
Over the years, IAM has consistently worked towards enhancing its academic programmes, adopting innovative teaching practices, and strengthening its industry interface. In 2008, it was ranked as a top centre for excellence in hospitality education by the Global Human Resource Development Centre – Competition Success Review, and it has maintained this standing for over a decade.

Besides all the classroom sessions, we firmly believe in the power of extra-curricular activities and how they can mold a certain individual into a smart, confident and self-reliant person. These activities take place throughout the year and give students an opportunity to showcase their skills with hands-on experience at work. Events like these take the student to a new level of learning as they are focussed on team work, communication, financial planning and other requirements that make for a successful manager or entrepreneur. These events are based within the city and also out of the city.
